The Disappearing Act

WalletPop, a US based finance site, recently came out with the list of things that have disappeared from the American landscape, thanks to shifts in culture and technology. Worryingly enough, it featured an individual’s networth as well! That aside, how many of us have noticed that things we grew up with have simply faded away. Like post boxes, pepsee cola (a one rupee bar of synthetic flavoured ice), typewriters, sari sellers who came home, cycle rickshaws, Chitrahaar, rotary dialling telephones, pagers, VHS players, empty buses…the list goes on and on.
