Technology challenged me did not even know there is something called a 2D bar code. But apparently, it’s going to be the hot new thing in mobile marketing. Take the case of the Mexican restaurant called Qdoba, which used the technology for selling digital burrito coupons, and got an overwhelming 52% redemption rate. Compare this to the measly 5 to 10% returns that our sweaty DM exercises give us. And while you’re at it, say goodbye to the good old days when a mobile snack meant that you picked it up and ate it as you went along :-)
